By Our Correspondent SWAT, Oct 3: A man was killed when a bomb he was carrying went off near the Nishat Chowk in Mingora on Wednesday morning.
The explosion rocked the entire town and body parts of the man were scattered all around, officials and residents said. Local people said the blast was heard far and wide, causing panic and fear among residents. Windowpanes of shops and houses were damaged.
Officials were uncertain about the target of the attack. It could not be confirmed if the man was planting the bomb or was carrying it to some other area. It was not clear if the man was a suicide bomber, the officials said.
