NAWABSHAH : Wapda workers seek Eid bonus

NAWABSHAH, Oct 3: The members of Pakistan Wapda Hydro Electric Central Labour Union staged a protest demonstration outside the Hesco office here on Wednesday to pressurise the authorities to accept their demands.

They demanded Eid bonus for workers, withdrawal of the Ordinance 2000, and upgradation of lower staff.

The protesters were carrying banners and placards and were raising slogans against the government.

Speaking to the protesters, Fazal Shaikh, Inamuddin Qureshi, Nizamuddin Malik and others said that the workers were living a miserable life due to indifferent attitude of the government.

MQM RALLY: Activists of Muttahida Qaumi Movement took out a rally against the attack on their party’s deputy convener, Dr Farooq Sattar, here on Wednesday.

The rally started from the MQM office and after passing through main thoroughfares culminated at the press club. The protesters were carrying placards, banners and portraits of the MQM chief, Altaf Hussain.

Zonal organiser MQM, Anwar Saleem, taluka nazim Nawabshah, Abdul Rauf Khan, Mureed Siyal Brohi, Shiraz Masood, Ambreen Uzma and others condemned the attack on Dr Farooq Sattar by some lawyers in Islamabad.
