HYDERABAD, Oct 3: The District Coordination Officer (DCO) Hyderabad Aftab Ahmed Khatri has directed police to adopt security measures for maintaining law and order on Youm-i-Shahadat Hazrat Ali (R.A) on 21st of Ramazan.

He gave the directive in a meeting held to maintain law and order on Youm-i-Shahadat Hazrat Ali (R.A) at his office, on Wednesday.

All the DSPs, the DDOs of Revenue, Mukhtiarkars, the TMOs, Hesco, Sui Southern Gas Co representatives, the MD of Wasa and other officers of utility departments attended the meeting.

He directed police to deploy pickets, especially on routes of processions while maintaining vigilance on anti-social elements.

He directed that special arrangements for smooth traffic flow must be ensured on the day.

The DCO directed the TMOs to remove encroachments, obstacles on the procession route and ensure cleanliness within their jurisdictions, especially at the Qadamgah Moula Ali and Dadan Shah. He also directed them to keep fire brigade vehicles available.

He directed the SSGC management to complete the ongoing work at Hyder Chowk within 24 hours and make roads passable. He directed the MD of Wasa to ensure supply of water and functioning sewerage system especially at the Qadamgah, Dadan Shah and other routes.
