‘Want my child back’

LAHORE, Sept 17: “I have nothing to do with the driver but want my child back, says a shocked Gulzar Ahmed.“If I get my child back, I won’t take any legal action against the driver,” he said.

Talking to Dawn by phone, he said that he could not forget the fateful day his wife was run over by a car which also took away his daughter in front of his eyes and he was unable to do anything.

Gulzar, a father of eight daughters and a son, said: “Two traffic wardens standing at the signal neither chased the car nor radioed the message timely to the officials posted at Defence Morr and John Marry signal despite my raising alarm,” he deplored.

“We have just concluded burial of Fatima and will now proceed to search the girl,” Muhammad Ashiq, brother of Gulzar, said. —Staff Reporter
