PML-N leader released from jail

By Our Correspondent

ATTOCK, Sept 13: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader and former provincial minister Raja Ishfaq Sarwar was released from the Attock district jail on Wednesday night, it has been learnt.

He had been arrested on Monday when he allegedly protested against the restrictions being imposed by the authorities to prevent them from welcoming their party leader, Mian Nawaz Sharif to the country, sources said.

GAMBLERS HELD: The Attock city police have arrested four gamblers — Khalid Mehmood, Anisur Rehman, Nawish Ali and Waseem Akhtar — on the charge of running a gambling business involving prize bonds, and recovered a stake amount of Rs23,000 from them.
