KARACHI: SHC curbs on entry during May 12 hearing

KARACHI, Sept 11: The Sindh High Court chief justice has directed that on each date of hearing of the case about the May 12 incidents by a larger bench, no litigant person may enter the SHC premises without a pass issued by the court.

The SHC registrar has said the entry passes will be issued to the relevant persons, who may collect them a day before the hearing date from the office of the OSD (M&S) of the Sindh High Court.

On Sept 10, the SHC adjourned the suo motu inquiry into the May 12 mayhem for a week because of a massive gathering of workers of a political party.

The bench sent the file to the chief justice for necessary action to maintain security and discipline on September 17, the next date of hearing.—PPI
