KARACHI: KBCA action against engineers


KARACHI, Sept 11: The Karachi Building Control Authority has suspended licences of an architect and two structure engineers for a certain period for alleged negligence and carelessness.

According to a KBCA release, the licence of the architect, Bashir Ahmed Ansari, was suspended on charges of irregular construction on plot No.6 in sub-block K of block-I, North Nazimabad and plot No.SB-01 in Sector Z-III of Gulshan-i-Maymar, Scheme-45.

On charges of illegal construction, licences of structure engineer Nazar Siddiqi and Rais Akhtar Qureshi were suspended for six months under the Sindh Building Control Ordinance.

People have been advised not to get their building plans authenticated through the said engineers during the suspension period.—APP
