KARACHI, Sept 11: A simple but an impressive passing-out parade of recruits in Ordnance Corps was held at Ordnance Centre in Malir Cantonment on Tuesday morning.

The Director-General of Ordnance Services, Major-General Syed Zawar Hussain Shah was the chief guest on the occasion, says a press release issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations.

While congratulating the passing-out recruits on successful completion of training, he underscored the need for continuous quest for seeking the latest technology and mastery over standing operating procedure, which had been the hallmark of Pakistan Army.

Later, the DG awarded prizes to the outstanding recruits. Recruit Aurangzeb was awarded Ordnance Centre Commandant Medal on his outstanding performance. Recruit Naved Akhtar was awarded Director-General Ordnance Services Medal. Recruit Niaz Baseer received Colonel Commandant Ordnance Corps Medal and Recruit Mohammad Naqeeb received the Chief of Logistics Staff Cane.

The ceremony was attended by army officers, junior commissioned officers and the families of passing-out recruits.—PPI
