Zone-III, V in last eight

KARACHI, Sept 5: Zone-III Whites and Zone-V Whites secured the second and first position in Group ‘D’ and Group ‘A’ after beating their respective opponents – Zone-I Whites and Zone-I Blues. However, all the four teams reached quarter-finals of the KCCA Under-15 Inter-zonal cricket tournament on Tuesday.

In the first match, Zone-III Whites defeated Zone-I Whites by 66 runs at the KCCA Stadium.

Zone-III Whites, batting first, posted 186 all out in 49.4 overs with Amit Ravi (60) being the highest scorer. In reply, Zone-I Whites could only post 120 before being dismissed in 39.4 overs. Osama Jawad demolished the opponents’ batting line-up with figures of 5-29.

In the second match, Zone-V Whites beat Zone-I Blues by 165 runs at the Landhi Gymkhana Ground.
