KARACHI, Aug 29: City Nazim Syed Mustafa Kamal has expressed dissatisfaction over the performance of engineers of the works and services department, particularly the project directors deputed to uplift projects.

Speaking at a high-level meeting, he directed them to improve their working as the projects of public importance such as roads, bridges and flyovers could not afford any delay.

Attending the meeting were Karachi DCO Javed Hanif, the EDOs for works and servi-ces, municipal services, transport, project directors of the ongoing projects and the DOs of the works and services department.

Mr Kamal asked the officials to chalk out a schedule for all development projects showing which project would be completed when.

If there were no financial problems, the pace of work should be geared up to complete them ahead of schedule, he directed.—APP
