KHAIRPUR: Two killed by thieves

KHAIRPUR, Aug 23: Two brothers were killed and their two nephews were injured by armed thieves in Hamz Ali Mallah village, Sobhodero taluka, on Wednesday night.

Ten armed men barged into the house of Sono Punjabi with the intention of committing theft but the inmates woke up and offered resistance. On their hue and cry, their neighbours came out of their houses and tried to catch hold of the thieves.

The thieves opened fire on the villagers, killing Haji Gulab Mallah, 65, and his brother Hamz Ali Mallah, 58, and injuring their nephews Wahid Bux Mallah and Ghulam Nabi Mallah.— Correspondent
