KARACHI, Aug 23: Four ships carrying containers and DAP fertiliser are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Friday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where four ships, Y.M. Fortune, Corin Thaikos to unload and load containers, Mystras to offload DAP fertiliser and Asian Queen to load cement were berthed after the departure of five.

The departed ships were led by APL Shenzhen, Cruiser, Senatir, Swat and Chitral, while Y.M. Fortune, Hyundai Highway, Beluga Fascination, Pan Leader and Hayley Nadhi are due to sail out on Friday.

A total cargo volume of 80,220 tons comprising 10,154 tons of export and 70,066 tons of import tonnage was handled on Thursday.

The following ships are due on Friday: Hayley Nadhi, Calvin P. Titus and Iran Tabatabaei with containers and Aiud, with 13,598 tons of DAP fertiliser.
