NAWABSHAH, Aug 22: Two women, one of them expecting a baby, allegedly tortured by their husbands, were admitted to NMC Hospital on Wednesday.

According to reports, two sisters, Ms Rukhsana and Ms Gulshan were severely beaten up by their husbands, Tariq Ahmed and Imtiaz Ahmed (both brothers) respectively at their residence in Doctors Colony.

The women told reporters at the hospital that their husbands used to torture them and lock them in rooms.

They said their husbands stopped them from visiting their parent’s house on Wednesday and beat them.

Ms Gulshan said that she was pregnant and the doctors told her that she might lose her baby.

Pir Ameeruddin father of the women filed an application in the court of civil judge and judicial magistrate-III against Tariq Ahmed and Imtiaz Ahmed.

Pir Fakhruddin, brother of the victims had also filed a compliant at A-Section police station against his brothers-in-law.

Police are investigating the matter.
