Stray bullet kills infant

LAHORE, Aug 20: A suckling was killed when a stray bullet hit him during asleep in Shadbagh early Monday. Police said Zaman (one) was asleep at the rooftop of his Bhagatpura house along with his mother when a stray bullet hit him.

Police registered a case against unidentified people.

Six injured: Six passengers were injured when a speeding van hit a tractor after its break failed on Raiwind Road.

Rescue 1122 officials quoted witnesses as saying that the Raiwind-to-Lahore wagon went out of control when its breaks failed. The wagon rammed into a tractor (LRT-6370) at Ghap Morr near Shaikh Zayed Palace, leaving six passengers injured.

A Rescue 1122 ambulances shifted the injured to the Jinnah Hospital.

The injured were identified as Abdul Rasheed and Farooq, both residents of Muzaffargarh, and Mumtaz, Nadia, Ameen, and Saleem, of City Raiwind.
