By Our Staff Correspondent

MULTAN, July 21: The federal government will provide seeds, fertilizers and pesticides on marginal profit to farmers having less than 12.5 acre land. Farmers will be facilitated after establishing village councils of 1,000 villages in the country under the Crop Maximization Project at a cost of Rs8 billion.

Agriculture and Livestock Minister Sikandar Hayyat Khan Bosan said this while speaking at public meetings on the occasion of gas supply to Basti Nao and Basti Saleh here on Saturday.

The minister said the gas supply project would be extended to some 13,000 villages in the country.

He said that several national and international companies were investing in the agriculture and livestock sectors.
