KARACHI: Three held for robbery

KARACHI, July 17: Police arrested three men who were reportedly fleeing after robbing a woman of her valuables in Gulshan-i-Iqbal on Tuesday. Police said a gang of five riding on two motorcycles snatched jewellery from a woman in Block 13-D.

A mobile police party tried to arrest the suspected criminals.

The police said the men opened fire on them and tried to run away.

The police chased them and arrested three men later identified as Kamran, Mohammad Fayyaz and Azizullah.

Three pistols, cellphones and a motorcycle were seized from them.

Two of their accomplices escaped, the police said.
