KARACHI, July 10: Ten ships including four cement carriers to load 40,000 tons of the commodity are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Wednesday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where four ships, Viking Merlin Mol Ability, Mol Silver Fern to unload and load containers and Chemstar Brave, an oil tanker were berthed.

Five ships, Global Prince, Gallant Wave, Mol Silver Fern, Lalazar and Silver Son departed on Tuesday, while Viking Merlin, Mol Ability, Chemstar Brave, Amassis, Asian Queen and Haje Khereh are due to sail out on Wednesday.

A total tonnage of 73,752 tons comprising 21,288 tons of export cargo and 52,464 tons of import tonnage was handled on Tuesday.

The following ships are due on Wednesday: Lucky Arrow, Adriatic Arrow, Al-Abd and Afamia to load cement, New Setokaze with 16,000 tons of palm oil, Oel Trust, Al-Marlyah, Y.M. Moon, Iran Hesabi with containers and Wilma with project cargo.
