KARACHI: ‘CM to end tribal feuds’

KARACHI, June 13: Sindh Chief Minister Arbab Ghulam Rahim is making concerted efforts to bring an end to bloody tribal feuds in the province. In a statement released on Wednesday, a spokesman for the CM said that the government was trying to bring together leaders of different tribes to resolve the feuds amicably.“Unfortunately, people of different tribes are fighting over petty matters like children’s disputes, water rotation and dog fights, which result in the killings of innocent people,” he observed.

He said that the government was considering different proposals to resolve the tribal clashes and stop the bloodshed. He said the chief minister was seeking proposals from influential people to end karo-kari, tribal feuds and to put a check on the arms culture in the province.—PPI
