QUETTA, June 2: The Jamhoori Watan Party chief Nawabzada Talal Akbar Bugti accused the officials of Military Intelligence Quetta of kidnapping his son, Shahzain Bugti, in Karachi on Saturday.

Mr Talal told a press conference at the Bugti House that some intelligence men arrested his son in Karachi when he was returning home after meeting Brig Masood of the Military Intelligence Karachi.

Brig Masood, a family friend, had nothing to do with his son’s kidnapping, he insisted, but charged that a brigadier of MI Quetta and two majors of MI from Sibi and Sui were involved in the kidnapping.

Mr Talal said that his life was also under threat, adding that if President Musharraf did not order recovery of his son or if he (Talal) received any harm then Gen Musharraf himself would be responsible for the consequences.
