PESHAWAR, June 2: Peshawar Electric Supply Company (Pesco) Chief Executive Brigadier Sakhi Marjan has directed the field staff to bring down line losses to 2 per cent by the end of this month.

He issued these directives while presiding over a meeting of superintending engineers at the Wapda House here on Saturday. The recovery and disconnection campaign was reviewed at the meeting.

The chief executive expressed concern over the slow pace of recovery from defaulter govt departments and private consumers.

He directed the officials concerned to improve the recovery and warned that strict action would be taken against officials who failed to meet the targets.

He also expressed concern over rising complaints of overbilling in various circles and warned the officials involved to avoid such malpractices.

APP adds: The chief executive said that in order to review the performance of the field staff and pace of recovery, he would visit all the circles this month.
