KARACHI, May 11: Four ships to load and unload containers, rice and furnace oil arrived at the outer anchorage during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Friday.

Meanwhile, three ships were accommodated berths. Berth occupancy was maintained at 70 per cent as seve ships, Al-Manakh, Hyderabad, Afamia, Pont Land Bay, Easter Tera, Gri Goroussa_O and Oriental Miho, were busy in loading and unloading rice, cement, canola seeds, chemicals and furnace oil.

A cargo volume of 81,215 tons comprising 65,585 tons of import and 15,630 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Sailing was brisk as Al-Manakh, Pont Land Bay, Eatern Tera, Gri Goroussa-I and Oriental Miho left the port.
