KARACHI, May 3: The British Deputy High Commissioner at Karachi, Hamish St Clair Daniel, has said that the British government had doubled its grant aid framework for Pakistan to 480 million pounds (approximately Rs56 billion) for the period 2008-2011. He was speaking as chief guest at a reception given by Chairman, Site Association of Industry, Imran Shaukat.
Focusing on the Department for International Development, Mr Daniel said it is the department leading the British government’s fight against poverty.—APP
