QUETTA, April 29: The Hazara Democratic Party (HDP) has urged nationalist and progressive political groups to struggle collectively against growing religious extremism which is posing a threat to national integrity.

Speaking at a public meeting at the Isa Khan complex here on Sunday, speakers asked the federal government to remove apprehensions of neighbouring countries in order to establish friendly ties with Afghanistan, Iran and India.

HDP chief Mohammad Jawad Nisar, Secretary General Ibrahim Hazara, Senior Vice-president Hussain Ali and others spoke on the occasion. —Correspondent
