Cattle show in Taunsa

MULTAN, April 28: Muzaffargarh district officer (livestock) Dr Malik Saeed Akhtar Chajra has said that livestock support services project is in full progress and farmers from remote, plain and riverine areas are being provided with the latest diagnostic and treatment facilities free of cost.

Addressing as chief guest at a cattle show organised by the livestock district office at Pul Magasian near Taunsa Barrage on Saturday, he said a pilot project aimed at increasing the livestock productivity was being carried out with a total cost of Rs100 million.

Dr Saeed Akhtar said for the first time in the country’s history veterinary services through ambulance led by veterinary officers were being provided at farmers’ doorstep on a call in all Alipur, Jatoi, Muzaffargarh and Kot Addu tehsils.

Later, the DO awarded cash prizes to cattle breeders Fayyaz Ahmed Dasti, Abdul Aziz Doosa, Hafiz Adbul Sattar and others.
