Published April 28, 2007

KARACHI, April 27: Senate Chairman Mohammad Mian Soomro the other day held out an assurance to a four-member delegation that he would help in getting them a piece of land for constructing proper tennis academy in the city. He also heads the Sindh Tennis Association (STA).

The office-bearers of STA who made a courtesy call at his residence, apprised him of difficulties they were facing in conducting activities in the absence of a proper place.

He was delighted to learn that Sindh bagged three golds in women’s tennis at the just concluded National Games through the efforts of talented Nida Waseem.

The elections of STA are due to take place sometime this year following expiry of four-year term. The delegation comprised Khwaja Saeed Hai, Waseem Ahmed, Jamal Mirza and Khalid Rehmani.
