By Our Correspondent

JACOBABAD, April 27: Reacting to death of a young man few hours after his operation conducted by an orthopaedic surgeon due to alleged negligence, a large number of residents of Channa village took out a procession here on Friday.

The enraged protesters also raised slogans against the doctors in the premises of the Civil Hospital and smashed windowpanes and doors of the hospital wards. A heavy contingent of the police reached the site and arrested 35 of the protesters and lodged them at different police stations of the city.

Saeed Ahmed Channa 17, a patient with fracture in his leg, was operated upon by an orthopaedic surgeon about a month ago. The patient expired after two hours of operation in the ward.
