PTI turns 11

LAHORE, April 26: The Pakistan Tehrik-I-Insaaf is celebrating the party’s 11th foundation day here on Friday (today) focusing on provision of socio-economic justice and a transparent system of accountability.

PTI chairperson Imran Khan will be the chief guest at the foundation day ceremony which is being sponsored by the party’s Punjab leadership. Provincial president Ahsan Rashid will preside over the ceremony, according to party’s information secretary Omar Sarfraz Cheema.

The PTI was founded on April 25, 1996, at a convention held in Lahore. Imran Khan was elected its chairperson and Meraj Mohammad Khan the secretary-general.—Correspondent
