Minister’s son shot dead

By Amanullah Kasi

QUETTA, April 26: The son of a provincial minister and a landlord of Jhal Magsi has allegedly been killed by some peasants. The killers escaped from the murder scene.

The district administrative officer of Jhal Magsi, Saeed Umrani, told Dawn by telephone on Thursday that Mir Ghulam Mustafa went to his peasants to collect his share of profits from them.

An argument ensued, after which the peasants opened fire on Mr Mustafa, killing him on the spot. In the incident that took place in the morning two guards of Mr Mustafa, Tahir Magsi and Nabi Magsi, suffered bullet injuries.

Mr Mustafa was the son of ex-provincial minister Mir Yousuf Magsi and sitting provincial minister Shama Parveen Magsi.
