Pakistan Open to see tough competition

LAHORE, April 24: Tough competition is expected in the Pakistan Open tennis for Nazim Cup as more than 200 players have confirmed their participation. The tournament starts Sunday at the Royal Palm Club courts.

The competition feature men's and ladies' singles, veterans’, boys’ and girls’ under-17 events in which top-seed Aqeel Khan, Nomi Qamar besides some Indian players take part.

The tournament director said some matches would be held at the newly-laid synthetic courts under the floodlights.
