Pakistan Academy win in BD

LAHORE, April 23: A fine unbeaten century from Khalid Latif and Babar Naeem’s all-round performance helped Pakistan Academy defeat their Bangladesh counterparts in a one-day match by six wickets in Dhaka, according to the information received here on Monday.

Khalid scored 100 off 88 balls with 10 fours and five sixes as Pakistan Academy achieved the target of 220 for the loss of four wickets in 35.5 overs. Babar, who had earlier taken 3-32, excelled with the bat too, scoring a 46-ball 69 with five sixes and six fours. He and Khalid added 115 runs for the second wicket.

Earlier, Bangladesh, batting first, made 219 before being bowled out, with Junaid Siddique (53) being the top scorer. Babar and Fawad Alam claimed three wickets apiece.
