KASUR, April 23: Seven people, including five students, sustained serious injuries in a head-on collision between a speedy truck and a school wagon near Kot Radha Kishan on Monday.

Police said a private school wagon was on its way to Changa Manga from Kot Radha Kishan when the truck loaded with bricks rammed into it leaving Muhammad Ahmad, 7, Rahmat, 5, Tahreem, 6, Manahal, 9, Rashid, 4, driver Iftikhar and helper Fiaz injured. The children were rushed to the Civil Hospital, Chunian, while the driver and his helper were referred to the LGH owing to their critical condition.

Police are investigating.

MURDER MYSTERY: Kasur Saddar police claimed to have resolved the mystery of a blind murder of a boy.

DPO Tariq Abbas Qureshi said in a press conference in his office on Monday that police had received the body of an unidentified boy Rasoolpur village last week.

The boy was later identified as Allah Ditta, 12, a worker at a local shoe factory. The autopsy revealed that he was strangulated after sodomising.

A team headed by Saddar DSP arrested accused Imran alias Gutto of Kot Murad Khan, who was the colleague of Allah Ditta.
