HYDERABAD: Portrait removal slammed


HYDERABAD, April 23: The leaders of the Pakistan People’s Party (Shaheed Bhutto and its youth and student wings have criticized the Hyderabad Central Jail authorities for removing the portrait of late Mir Murtaza Bhutto and Ghinwa Bhutto from outside the jail.

Speaking at a news conference at the press club on Monday, the city president, PPP-SB, Raja Rasheed Samoon, district president, People’s Youth, Comrade Raja and SPSF-SB leader Mohammad Ali Mirjat alleged that at the instigation of some forces, the prison authorities had removed the portrait on April 7.

The portraits of those who were in coalition partners were not removed, they said and demanded display of the same portrait and at the same place.—Bureau
