KARACHI, April 17: Abdur Rehman claimed a match haul of 11 for 141 as Habib Bank Limited (HBL) defeated Sindh by 118 runs on Tuesday to make sure of winning the Pentangular Cup this season.
Rehman, the Pakistan slow left-armer, fully exploited the slow UBL Sports Complex track in taking six for 83 on the third day pf the four-day fixture. Sindh were eventually dismissed for 184 after resuming their second innings at 33 for two.
But barring Shahid Qambrani, who made 49, the remaining batsmen had no answers to Rehman’s wiles and guiles. Shahid’s breezy knock contained two fours and three sixes.
Habib Bank’s second win in three matches took their points to 21 with one round still to play. Their nearest challengers, Punjab (15 points) have already finished their quota of games.
