KARACHI, April 16: Sindh were heading for defeat in the Pentangular Cup fixture against Habib Bank after Azam Hussain picked up a 10-wicket match haul at the UBL Sports Complex here on Monday.
After being set a stiff target of 303, Sindh closed the second day’s play at 33 for two on a pitch assisting the spinners.
Azam, the slow left-armer, followed his 4-46 in the first innings with six for 84 as the bankers were dismissed for 249 in the second innings. He ended up with figures of 10 for 130 for the match.
Imran Farhat scored a rapid 69. His 66-ball knock included seven fours and one six.
Earlier, Sindh added 30 for the last wicket after resuming at 109 for nine. Rizwan Ahmed, 46 overnight, made a gutsy 75 with 11 four and two sixes before he provided Abdur Rehman with his fifth wicket of the innings.
