KOHAT, April 15: Two men have been arrested for threatening the headmistress of the junior section of a PAF school with dire consequences if she did not stop teaching girl students, it is learnt.

An official, who wished not to be named, told Dawn on Sunday that last week Mrs Jilani, the headmistress, had received threatening calls and a letter asking her to stop teaching girls. The miscreants had also threatened to blow up the school.

Police, on a tip-off, traced the cellphone number from which a call in the voice of a woman had been made to the headmistress. Police raided two places and arrested Faisal Ahmad, son of Mohammad Khan, and Tahir, son of Maqsood-ur-Rehman.

They admitted having threatened Mrs Kazmi. They are now in the custody of an intelligence agency for interrogation.
