Two killed in accidents

TAXILA, April 15: Two persons were killed in separate incidents in Wah Cantonment and Hassanabdal, the police said on Sunday.

A pedestrian identified as Nazeer was knocked down and killed by a car (LXZ-2675) when he was crossing the G.T. Road near Barrier No. 2.

Meanwhile, a man was killed after being run over by a train near Sikandarabad Mohallah in the jurisdiction of Hassanabdal police station. The victim, Zulfiqar, was crossing the railway line when he was hit by the Rawalpindi-bound Peshawar Express. The body was shifted to THQ hospital for autopsy.—Correspondent
