KARACHI, April 14: Four ships scheduled to load and offload containers, diesel oil and chemicals were berthed at QICT, Fotco Terminal and EVT during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Saturday.

Berth occupancy was maintained at 80pc as nine ships, Cap Roca, CSAV Ningbo, Sea Challenger, Berenice, Fifi Queen, Full Comfort, Sita Vera, Qem Star and Capt. George-L, were busy in loading and unloading containers, cement, edible oil, canola seeds, diesel oil, chemicals and iron ore.

A cargo volume of 112,327 tons comprising 96,188 tons of import and 16,139 tons of export was handled.

Sailing was also active as Sima Pride and Sea Challanger left the port while Fifty Queen, CSAV Ningbo, Qem Star and Sita Vera were due to depart.
