Three security personnel killed in Kohlu

QUETTA, April 13: Three security personnel were killed when a landmine went off in Tartani Manjara area of the Kohlu district on Friday. Official sources said the security personnel were clearing the area of mines for construction of a road when one of them ran over a landmine planted by militants.

The deceased were identified as Naib Sobedar Hashmatullah, levies man Faizullah and FC soldier Manzoor Ahmed.

Meanwhile, security forces foiled an attempt to blow up a 12-inch diameter gas pipeline in Sui tehsil.

The bomb planted along the pipeline was timely defused.

Law-enforcement personnel also defused a rocket in Mand area that was to be fired on a checkpost of the Frontier Corps. They also seized 23 rockets from Sui area during a search operation.
