KINGSTON, April 13: Assistant manager of the Pakistani World Cup squad Asad Mustafa has indicated that the investigators looking into the mysterious death of coach Bob Woolmer and the coroner in Jamaica would be able to deliver a clear verdict on April 30.

"The coroner's inquest will start from April 23 and it is expected to take around a week to complete proceedings and give a final confirmation on how Woolmer had died," Asad told reporters on Friday.

Woolmer died in Kingston on March 18, one day after Pakistan were eliminated from the World Cup after losing to Ireland. The Jamaican investigators are treating his death as a murder.

Asad said the two Pakistani police investigators, Mir Zubair and Kaleem Imam were holding meetings with the Jamaican and Scotland Yard investigators and getting briefings on the investigations held so far into Woolmer's death.—Agencies
