Cattle die in Hafizabad

HAFIZABAD, April 13: Dozens of cattle died owing to some mysterious disease during the last few days in Bukan Kalan village. According to reports reaching here, farmers are worried after their number of cows and buffaloes fell victim to some unknown disease. A team of the livestock research centre from Lahore visited the village and got samples of the blood and saliva of animals. These samples were sent to a Islamabad laboratory for further investigation.

Deputy district officer (livestock) Dr M. Akhtar has ensured farmers that the disease would be controlled. — Correspondent
