Police said Ghulam Nabi was killed by his 40-year-old son Jamshed at their house in Gulshan-i-Ghazi over a petty dispute.

The victim had sold out a plot in Gulshan-i-Ghazi for Rs70,000 and Jamshed was angry with his father over this deal. The suspect, father of three sons himself, fled the scene after the incident, police added.

In Gulshan-i-Maimar police area, a watchman at a poultry farm was shot dead.

The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where the victim was identified as Syed Kauser Ali, 65, hailing from Punjab.

ACLC chief SSP Khaliq Shaikh said the gang smuggled the stolen bikes from Rahimyarkhan to Karachi. “They used to temper with the engine and chassis numbers and sell the bikes on forged papers,” he added.
