KARACHI, April 10: Ten ships carrying crude oil, steel, general cargo and to load cement are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Wednesday, according to KPT sources.
Berthing activity at the wharves was on the higher side, where six vessels including three tankers were berthed. They are: Comorin Pride with containers, Bao Qing Men, Haje Khereh with general cargo, Chemstar, Stolt Ami and B.W. Captain, tankers.
Four vessels, Comorin Pride, `Pac Antlia, Chemstar and Stolt Ami departed on Tuesday, while Bao Qing Men, Oel Esteem and Nafto Cement are due to sail out on Wednesday.
Cargo handling activity on the wharves maintained on the higher side where a total tonnage of 96,358 tons comprising 38,464 tons of export cargo including 1,542 tons of rice, 4,718 tons of cement and 10,816 tons of clinker and 57,894 tons of import cargo was handled.
The following ships are due on Wednesday: Lalazar with crude oil, Al-Ihsaa, Hyundai Advance, Iran Hesabi, Global Prosperity and Y. Energy with containers, Pacific Arrow to load 10,000 tons of cement, Banglar Maya, B.B. England with general cargo and Rickmers Doha with steel.
