Abid to lead Sindh canoeists

KARACHI, April 6: Abid Khan has been named to lead 21-member Sindh canoe squad in the 30th National Games. The Sindh Canoeing Association announced the squad on Friday.

The canoe events will be held from April 10 to 13 at the National Sailing Centre.

Competitions of five different class's boats, including kayak one (K-1), kayak two (K-2), kayak four (K-4), Canadian canoe one (C-1) and Canadian canoe two (C-2), will be held during the event.

Abid Khan (captain), Sangeen Khan, Sarang Zaib, Abbas Baloch, Asim Shah, Imran Khan, Zahid Bhatti, Ghulam Rasool, Mohammad Asghar, Yaqoob Niazi, Naeem Khan, Abdul Qayyum, M. Rafayul Qamar, Mohammad Bilal, Mohammad Siraj, Peer Mohammad, Haq Daad, Majid Khan, Mohammad Ayaz (manager), Maqsood Ahmed (coach), Qamar-uz-Zaman (assistant coach).—PPI
