KARACHI: ‘SUP to struggle for provincial autonomy’
By Our Staff Reporter
KARACHI, April 6: Sindh United Party (SUP) would struggle to get provincial autonomy so that the province has complete control over its natural resources and its chief executive is fully empowered to take independent decisions in the fields of administration, economics, politics etc.
This was stated by former Sindh Assembly deputy speaker and SUP chief Syed Jalal Mehmood Shah at a function organized by the KPC on Friday.
He said that during the past 60 years almost all political parties had been saying that they supported provincial autonomy, but once in power they forget about the rights of provinces.
He said that keeping this in mind he, along with like-minded people, had formed the SUP in December 2006.
