KARACHI, April 3: Asif Ali Zardari, the PPP leader and spouse of former premier Benazir Bhutto, has urged the party workers to renew their pledge to further intensify their struggle for the restoration of complete democracy, human, political, economic and social rights of the people.

In a statement issued on the 28th death anniversary of the PPP’s founding chairman, Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, Mr Zardari stressed the need for hard work to accomplish Bhutto’s mission under the leadership of his daughter Benazir Bhutto, as it was the best way to pay tributes to the PPP leader.

Mr Zardari said that the struggle would continue by making all sorts of sacrifices, for Bhutto Shaheed’s sacrifice was unmatched.

“It was Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto being my ideal that I survived proudly and am fighting my role in this battle for the lost rights of the people of Pakistan.

“And, certainly nobody can break a Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) worker, whose true ideal is Bhutto Shaheed”, Mr Zardari added.
