Naib nazim arrested

KHAIRPUR, March 3: The PPP-backed Awam Dost panel Naib Nazim of UC Mehar Veesar, Sabir Hussain Dasti, was arrested on Saturday night from Handyari village allegedly for selling adulterated petrol.

The Thari Mirwah police lodged an FIR against him under section 379, 420 PPC and later obtained his three-day remand from the court of a judicial magistrate.

On the other hand, UC nazim of Mehar Veesar, Abdul Khaliq and other residents of Datoo Dasti village protested the arrest of Dasti and termed it a case of political victimization.

They alleged that the naib nazim was receiving threats to force him to part ways with the PPP-backed Awam Dost panel.
