KARACHI: Holiday on Bhitai Day

KARACHI, March 3: The Sindh government has announced March 5, 2007 as a public holiday on the occasion of Urs of Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai for all offices, autonomous, semi-autonomous bodies, corporations and local councils under the administrative control of the provincial government, said a notification issued by Services, General Administration and Coordination Department here on Saturday.

The University of Karachi and its affiliated colleges will also remain closed on Monday. However, the KU stated that the schedule of examinations of the varsity if any shall remain unchanged. All the schools and educational institutions will also remain closed on Monday on account of Urs of Shah Abdul Latif Bhitai.
