KARACHI, Feb 28: A solar and a lunar eclipse will occur in the month of March and both will be visible in the country.

According to the Institute of Space and Planetary Astrophysics Department of Karachi University, the partial and non-central solar eclipse will occur on March 19 at the time of sunrise and will be seen from across the country. Maximum eclipse will be seen in Islamabad and Peshawar where the eclipse would be around 60 per cent while in Karachi and Gwadar it would be at most 45 per cent.

The partial solar eclipse will end at 7:19am in Karachi, 7:21am in Gwadar, 7:33am in Quetta, 7:37am in Lahore, 7:41am in Islamabad and Peshawar.

The partial lunar eclipse will begin on March 4 at 2:32am and the total eclipse will begin at 3:21am. The totality will end at 4:58am and the partial eclipse will end at 6:11am. The timing for these phenomena is same for all the locations.—Staff Reporter
