KARACHI, Feb 28: Residents of Gul Raana Colony, Soldier Bazaar, have complained of leakages in a gas pipeline and said the SSGC officials had failed to rectify the faults despite repeated complaints lodged with them.

Area people said the gas line had caught fire twice in the past and the staff concerned were well aware of the problem. They said that complaints had already been made on the helpline 119, but to no avail.

The residents expressed their apprehension that the locality could suffer any mishap if immediate attention was not paid and the problem was not solved on permanent basis.

When contacted, SSGC spokesman said the consumers could lodge their complaints at phone numbers 9021089 and 9231635.
