KARACHI, Feb 21: Three ships carrying containers and edible oil were accommodated berths at QICT and MPT during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, two more ships carrying crude oil and containers also arrived at the outer anchorage. Berth occupancy was 50pc as five ships, CSAV Nngbo, Nedlloyd Oceania, Master Nicos, Pertiwi and Rich Duchess, were busy in loading and unloading containers, rice, edible oil and furnace oil.

A cargo volume of 78,996 tons comprising 66,422 tons of import and 12,574 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Sailing was slow as only Rich Duchess left the port while CSAV Ningbo, Nedlloyed Oceania were due to depart on Wednesday.
